The Ecere SDK is a cross-platform toolkit for building software applications. It currently runs on Windows, Linux, Mac OS X (through X11), FreeBSD, and the Android OS. It should run on other Unix platforms with minor testing/tweaking. With the Ecere SDK, you can develop applications once and deploy them on all supported platforms alongside a lightweight runtime environment. It introduces eC, an object oriented language derived from and fully compatible with C, compromising neither runtime performance nor ease of use. A built-in 3D engine supporting both Direct3D and OpenGL is fully integrated.

Das Toolkit wird nun auch auf 64-Bit-bauen Linux-Systemen (noch als 32-Bit). Neue, flexiblere (pro file, config, und die Plattform-) Projekt-Dateien (. EPG) werden unterstützt. Die IDE erzeugt jetzt Cross-Plattform-Makefiles. Die Proben wurden aktualisiert, ergänzt und neu organisiert. Eine Sammlung nützlicher EG-Code für verschiedene Zwecke ( "Extras") wurde hinzugefügt. Es gab Verbesserungen und Bugfixes für den Compiler und in der SDK.
The toolkit will now build on 64-bit Linux systems (still as 32-bit). New more flexible (per file, config, and platform) project files (.epj) are supported. The IDE now generates cross-platform makefiles. The samples were updated, added to, and reorganized. A collection of useful eC code for diverse purposes ("extras") was added. There were improvements and bugfixes to the compiler and throughout the SDK.

Die Ecere SDK ist nun Open Source unter der BSD-Lizenz. Eine automatische Bootstrapping / Build-System wurde implementiert. Mac OS X und PowerPC-Unterstützung wurde verbessert. Eine SQLite-Treiber ist für die Ecere Data Access System hinzugefügt. Neue IDE Konfigurationsoptionen ermöglichen die Integration von Cross-Compiler. Viele Bugs wurden gefixt. Ein Register-Steuerelement wurde hinzugefügt.

Dynamische Klassen-Templates für die Meta-(allgemein) Programmierung wurden in den EG-Sprache eingeführt. Richtiger Syntax-Highlighting wurde im IDE implementiert. Der Debugger Integration unter Linux wurde deutlich verbessert. Viele Bugs und andere Probleme gelöst wurden. Pakete für Debian / Ubuntu und GoboLinux stehen jetzt zur Verfuegung.
