KNOPPIX is a bootable CD with a collection of GNU/Linux software, automatic hardware detection, and support for many graphics cards, sound cards, SCSI devices, and other peripherals. It can be used as a Linux demo, educational CD, rescue system, etc. It is not necessary to install anything on a hard disk due to on-the-fly decompression.

Viele Paket aktualisiert wurden und Kernel 2.4.27 und 2.6.9 (mit ACPI) wurden eingeschlossen. KDE 3.3.1 von Debian enthalten / unstable mit FreeNX 0.2.5, eine Java-Sicherheits-Update (1.4.2_06), ein paar Grafikkarten-Einträge, einen Menü-Eintrag für Samba-Browsing und isdntool-knoppix für Text-und GUI-basierte ISDN-Konfiguration. Einige Dokumente wurden entfernt, um das ISO-Image zu verkleinern.

Many package updates were made and kernel 2.4.27 and 2.6.9 (with ACPI) were included. / etc/X11/Xsession wurde aktualisiert, um X-fix-Login auf die installierte Version. pcitable war für nForce-Chipsätze Ethernet aktualisiert. Eine Zeit fix gemacht wurde. DefaultColorDepth ist nicht in der XF86Config-4 gesetzt, wenn mit dem fbdev-Modul. Die leere / etc / network / interfaces Broadcast-Linie wurde in netcardconfig festgesetzt.
