The XView4Struts project is an extension to the
Jakarta Struts Framework. Its main purpose is to
eliminate the need to use tag libraries and JSP
pages. The view is pure HTML, and interaction
between the view and the model is transparent to
the developer. This approach offers faster
development, better division of work, a more pure
MVC design pattern, reusable view components, and
easier maintenance.

Corn Exception is a small but handy module which brings facilities to help with writing more dry exception handling code, i18n support for exception messages, reusable commands, and event publishing for both exception throwing and catching.

SILGraphite (formerly OpenGraphite) is a project within SIL's Non-Roman Script Initiative and Language Software Development groups to provide extensible cross-platform rendering capabilities for complex non-Roman writing systems. It consists of a rule-based programming language, Graphite Description Language (GDL), that can be used to describe the behavior of a writing system, a compiler for that language, and a rendering engine that can serve as the backend of a text processing application. SILGraphite renders TrueType fonts that have been extended by means of compiling a GDL program. It is currently being integrated into Gecko/Mozilla through the SILA project, a GNU/Linux port is also underway, and there are plans for OpenOffice.org and Abiword integration.

Easy I18N is a library that integrates GNU gettext with the JVM's internationalization facilities. Existing Java APIs (MessageFormat, DateFormat, Locale) are used to provide a much easier API for building and maintaining applications and Web apps. It includes the ability to use normal message strings in your code, use xgettext to auto-extract translatable strings, leverage the GNU gettext system and associated tools to manage translations, work with date, currency, and numeric input/output, supports thread-local Locales for Web apps (or global for apps), and more.

libunibreak is an implementation of the line breaking and word breaking algorithms as described in Unicode Standard Annex 14 and Unicode Standard Annex 29. It is a superset of, and supersedes, liblinebreak. It is designed to be used in a generic text renderer. FBReader is one real-world example.

WUI (Web User Interface) is an MVC framework for writing
Web UIs in Java. It makes it possible to write Web applications
with components, widgets, and events rather than JSPs. It
runs in any servlet 2.3 container.

The gettext lint tools are a collection of tools
for checking the validity, consistency, and spelling of PO
and POT files. An experimental glossary building
tool is also included.

I18n is a method for internationalization using JSP Expression Language. It is meant as an alternative to jstl-fmt, which can sometimes be hard to read and understand, especially when internationalizing an HTML attribute value. Using EL can make this much more readable.

PHPLangadmin is a Web interface for editing PO files created by the xgettext program of the GNU gettext utilities. The messageids will be stored in a MySQL database. The user can add a translation for different languages for any messageid. PHPLangadmin can create the appropriate PO file for a selected language which the user has already translated. It features package administration to handle different applications, user administration, and language administration. It can parse output of the xgettext utility and create a language file for the translated messages.

Tiny Translator is a very simple class for easily organizing dialogue outputs and creating language tables for multilingual projects. It supports flat files (comma seperated, .csv) and MySQL databases to store phrases.
