KOrganizer is the KDE PIM/Calendar/Scheduling tool. It is different from other programs for Unix/Linux like ical or plan because it supports vCalendar, a flexible, open Internet standard for exchanging calendar information (for instance, Lotus and Microsoft both support it in their products). For this reason, you can move to KOrganizer without losing your existing data.
